Afraid to Dance is a tribute band celebrating the best of punk, post-punk and new wave – from New York's CBGB heyday of the 

Ramones, Talking Heads and Blondie, to the UK's answer of the Clash, the Jam, and Elvis Costello, through the herky-jerky 

atmospheric 1980s of post-punk college radio staples R.E.M., the Cure, Echo & the Bunnymen and the Pixies, and with an occasional toe dipped in the shifting waters of the early 1990s.

Punk. Post-Punk. New Wave. College Rock. 80s Alternative. Whatever you call it, we think the decade and a half that was 1976-1991 produced some of the best music ever made.
